Billy, Biff
& Scooter Music Video.
A short music video of "Billy, Biff & Scooter"
completed editing by Giovanni Pistachio. A slight diversion from
our regular trailers of our shorts which have fallen by the wayside in
recent years. This will hopefully be a return to that (or a
similar) practice.
December 2009.
The digital re-mastering of the majority of our films continues.
A slow process going through almost all of them again but we will get
to the end eventually!

TV BROADCAST.
On
19th August
2005, five of our Pistachio Films shorts were broadcast on the
local Willits, California cable
access channel.
These films included: Plop!,
Untitled
Project Part 2, Weekend Warrior, The Ashtray & Pickles.
We are still
waiting on some responses coming in from viewers (potentially 2,500)
but so far the general reaction to this first screening has been
favourable.
Martainn
Russell.
Unfortunately
on the 2nd of August 2005 my dear friend and associate at Pistachio
Films, Martainn Russell, passed away in Edinburgh; Scotland; from an
undetermined brain disorder. Martainn was with his family when he
passed away during this short unexpected illness which was a shock to
all of us that knew him, loved and worked with him. He will be
sorely missed as a friend and fellow nut here at Pistachio
Films. We still posses some of Martainn's as of yet unfilmed or
unfinished scripts, which we hope to be completing in the near future
in his memory, and of course he will hate that I am using a tripod for
all of it!!
Pistachio
Films DVD.
After the screening of our short
films on our local cable channel, we will be releasing a DVD of
these films including some extra bits & pieces here in California,
USA. We hope to be releasing this DVD soon, for
individual sale from the
web site. A PAL (UK) version will also be released which can be
purchased from film fans in the UK, by ordering from the web
site.
More information about this DVD will be posted as it progresses.
It is unfortunate that my associate Martainn has missed this DVD
release and Cable screening, but I am glad he did know that all of this
was happening before he passed away.

THE
WEB SITE
As I am sure some of you have noticed the Pistachio Films site has been
down for a couple of months. This was due to our previous web
site hosting company's failure to release the domain name to us after
they stopped hosting web services.
But now we have a
new web hosting
company, and with just a slight change in the name of the site as I'm
sure you will have noticed.
THE
FILMS.
We are continuing to produce
our short films,
with several films
currently in the works, and some reworking of others.
Martainn is
currently working on a
project with James Mcewan of Joni Productions who we worked with last
year on The Ashtray. Along with
working on some re-dubbing for Pickles
Written by Yair Packer.
We also hope to be shooting
another screenplay by Yair Packer very soon.
Giovanni is
trying to get our first
horror short shot. Hopefully shooting in the USA in the next
month or
so. These along with more projects will hopefully be
finished and coming very soon.
THE
SUBMISSIONS.
The ongoing submission
process is well
ongoing, as we try to get more
of our films seen by more people, and hopefully more people in the
industry, leading to bigger productions soon.
THE
ACTORS.
Along with the
acting talents of
David Robertson and Sean Z. Young, we are also working on several
projects with Charlene Jae Boyle and Caroline Bell-Emie. This
creates a quartet of outstanding actors for us to work with on a
variety of projects, many of them helping with more than just
their acting roles. Charlene has written and co-directed our most
recent short film How Far?, which is
currently still in post
production, and I'm sure she has plans for more up her
sleeve! All of these actors give outstanding
performances in Pickles, and How Far, and we hope more soon!
David as well as giving us some great
acting, is planning
to compose
some music for our upcoming projects. He recently composed music for Pickles and songs by Magicdrive were used for
the soundtrack of The Ashtray.
THE
WRITERS.
As well as Martainn
and
Giovanni still writing and working on new scripts we are also filming
screenplay's by James Mcewan, Yair Packer and Charlene Boyle.
This gives us a variety of scripts to shoot, as well as a variety of
ideas to play with. We hope to be completing more works by these
writers soon.
All of
the above and other
participants in our projects are a very important part of growth for us
and we plan to continue to share their brilliance on our projects.
Thanks for the Interest.
Yours nuttily
Giovanni & Martainn.
